Role overview
Architectural Inspector overseeing construction progress, quality, and compliance with approved architectural documents.
Responsibilities
- Inspect construction against approved architectural plans and specifications; respond promptly to contractor inspection requests.
- Review architectural plans and verify required permits and approvals before construction.
- Check shop drawings against contract documents, applicable codes, statutory requirements, and international best practice.
- Monitor materials and work quality, identify deviations, and report non-compliant contractor work to stakeholders.
- Monitor site safety, health, and environmental compliance with contractual and QCS specifications and risk assessments.
- Keep daily site records and progress photos available for inspection; prepare deficiency surveillance and non-conformance reports as needed.
- Work to meet client expectations within the contract agreement.
Qualifications and requirements
- Degree in Engineering Architecture.
- At least 5 years of construction supervision experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- General knowledge of related disciplines.
