Land Surveyor

Role summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographical, boundary, construction, and engineering surveys; establish control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates.
• Set out buildings, roads, structures, foundations, utilities, and other construction elements; verify coordinates, elevations, dimensions, alignments, and levels.
• Conduct as-built surveys, collect and analyze data, and prepare survey records, reports, calculations, and sketches.
• Read project drawings; operate, calibrate, and maintain Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and related instruments.
• Coordinate with project teams and external surveyors, resolve survey issues, and report discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings.
• Monitor construction against approved coordinates and dimensions, assist with quantity verification, and maintain site records.
• Comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant land surveying experience; construction, consultancy, infrastructure, or major development experience is preferred.
• Strong construction setting-out and as-built surveying experience; proficiency with Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and other survey equipment.
• Knowledge of surveying principles, coordinate systems, levels, measurements, construction surveying practices, and site safety.
• Ability to interpret engineering, architectural, and structural drawings and prepare accurate survey reports and records.
• Surveying and CAD software experience; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and coordination; able to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good spoken and written English is required; UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage.
