Qualifications and skills
- Strong technical capabilities in firewalls, antivirus, content filtering, SIEM, threat intelligence, security orchestration and automation, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
- Managing and deploying IT infrastructure or cybersecurity technologies is preferred.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications are requested, but no specific certifications are named.
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, DLP, and other security technologies; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Core accountabilities
- Collaborate to solve security problems and manage incident response under the established framework.
- Analyze, investigate, and document alerts from logs and security tools; deploy and manage security controls.
- Support security dashboards and governance; monitor third-party threat intelligence for relevant vulnerabilities, exploits, and threat actors.
- Produce threat-intelligence reports and use incident trends to support security planning and risk mitigation.
- Conduct risk assessments, maintain risk-register issues, drive mitigation, coordinate control-deficiency remediation, and advise departments on security risks.
Salary
- Salary range is CA$100,000–CA$130,000 per year.
