Responsibilities
- Analyze legacy systems, source-to-target mappings, and business requirements to define migration and integration objectives.
- Perform SQL-based data profiling, validation, and impact analysis; document data lineage, transformation rules, surrogate key logic, and reference dependencies.
- Review ETL processes and legacy code to recover business rules where mapping specifications are unavailable.
- Design and validate L2/L3 data models and prepare technical designs, data movement models, and source-to-target specifications.
- Design key management and surrogate key generation across L2 and L3 layers.
- Build and optimize AWS data pipelines using S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and Step Functions.
- Support migration from IBM Netezza and other legacy warehouses to AWS data lake and analytics environments.
- Apply data quality, governance, security, compliance, and metadata standards throughout the data lifecycle.
- Integrate analytical models and enterprise data assets with data science, business, and technology teams.
- Automate deployments with CI/CD and support unit, SIT, UAT, performance testing, and production releases.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data processing; improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop reusable design patterns, onboarding frameworks, and best practices for enterprise data integration.
Salary
- Salary range is CA$100,000–CA$120,000 per year.
