Senior developer role building and operating high-scale APIs and frontend applications using Angular and Java.
Works with a high-performing engineering team on customer-facing web applications and resilient backend services.
Responsibilities
- Leads a team across onshore and offshore locations.
- Builds Angular applications and Java Spring Boot backend services.
- Designs RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and Kafka integrations.
- Writes code with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing; champions test automation and CI/CD.
- Collaborates with product, UX, QA, and engineering in an Agile environment.
- Automates development pipelines and operational runbooks.
- Ensures performance, scalability, and resiliency using Redis, load balancing, service discovery, and fault tolerance.
- Applies security practices including JWT, OAuth2/OIDC, TLS/SSL, and secure coding.
- Evaluates technologies and communicates technical decisions to stakeholders.
Must-have qualifications
- Web application and backend service development experience; strong Angular and Java Spring Boot experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript; experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, Kafka, and Redis.
- Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and schema design; experience with Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger, API testing and troubleshooting, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
- Strong team leadership, communication, stakeholder collaboration, and Agile team experience.
Nice-to-have qualifications
- AI model use or AI/ML application integration experience is desirable.
- OAuth 2.0, JWT, OIDC, and certificate management experience is desirable.
- Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright experience is desirable.
- Reactive, event-driven, message-oriented architecture, or microservice design pattern experience is desirable.
