The role is based at the Ritz-Carlton property in Doha and is listed as full time and not remote.
Education and experience
- Requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of relevant professional experience, or a related two-year degree with no experience required.
- Relevant experience may be in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
- Related degree fields include Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major.
Sales and revenue
- Proactively solicit and manage group and catering accounts, markets, and segments with substantial sales potential.
- Identify and qualify new business, develop sales plans, and pursue personal and property revenue goals.
- Design, develop, and sell creative catered events; upsell packages and food and beverage offerings.
- Analyze competitors and market conditions, select opportunities suited to property needs, and negotiate contracts.
- Coordinate opportunities with group and catering counterparts and applicable sales channels.
Customer service and relationships
- Build relationships with new and existing customers and community contacts to develop future bookings and account share.
- Deliver service excellence and support customer satisfaction and loyalty before and during programs and events.
- Understand customer business needs and recommend appropriate property features and services.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and use available sales and administrative resources.
Business operations
- Conduct site inspections and support operational delivery of booked business.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence as required.
- Ensure booked business is handed over properly and in a timely manner.
