Responsibilities

• Lead on-site engineering activities and ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain timelines.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical submittals.
• Inspect works and conduct quality checks against designs and local building codes.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Report progress, identify risks, and propose mitigations; liaise with authorities for permits and approvals.
• Implement safety protocols and improve construction processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years as a Resident Engineer or Senior Resident Engineer focused on high-rise projects; at least 20 years of total experience.
• Contract management and oversight skills are required.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong project management record delivering on time and within budget; knowledge of Abu Dhabi building codes and UAE construction standards.
• Analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, team mentoring, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent English required; Arabic is a plus.

Preferred credentials

• A Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent is preferred.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Workplace

• The role is based on site in Dubai.
