BIM Modeler - Mechanical

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive BIM models for mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, equipment, and related infrastructure.
• Perform detailed 3D modeling and visualization of mechanical systems using industry-standard BIM software.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution between mechanical systems and other building disciplines.
• Coordinate with MEP teams to ensure accurate integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Create and manage technical documentation, construction drawings, and specifications from BIM models.
• Establish and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to support project timelines and deliverables.
• Analyze complex mechanical systems and provide technical recommendations for optimization.
• Mentor junior BIM modelers and provide guidance on modeling techniques and standards.
• Ensure all BIM deliverables comply with project requirements and industry standards.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide regular updates on model status and progress.

Required Skills and Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience in BIM modeling with a focus on mechanical systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP or equivalent BIM modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, including HVAC, piping, and equipment layout.
• Demonstrated expertise in 3D modeling, visualization, and technical documentation.
• Experience with clash detection and MEP coordination workflows.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and BIM protocols.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Autodesk Revit certification or equivalent professional credential.
• Experience with Navisworks or other coordination software.
• Knowledge of Dynamo scripting or BIM automation tools.
• Experience with project management and coordination software.
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience with junior team members.
• Familiarity with Indian building codes and construction standards.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
