Senior Project Manager (M3)

Role overview

Project delivery and governance

• Leads end-to-end delivery of major capital projects and infrastructure programmes.
• Develops project execution plans, delivery strategies, and governance frameworks; monitors programme, budget, quality, and risk objectives.
• Manages multidisciplinary consultants and contractors and coordinates interfaces across workstreams and project packages.
• Leads stakeholder engagement, reporting, and decision-making, acting as the primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.

Commercial, risk, and compliance

• Drives risk identification, mitigation, and issue resolution; oversees contract administration, change management, variation control, and commercial management.
• Ensures work meets health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Supports procurement, tender evaluations, and contractor appointments; provides regular updates to senior client stakeholders and company leadership.
• Promotes continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice across the programme.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional membership or accreditation such as PMP, MRICS, MCIOB, CEng, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, transportation, aviation, or complex building projects, including senior project management or equivalent client-side leadership.
• Strong understanding of project management methods, programme controls, commercial management, risk management, governance, and reporting.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders.

Additional desirable experience

• Live operational environment project experience is highly desirable.
• Previous aviation or airport projects, major capital development programmes, or international consultancy, PMC, or programme management experience are additional advantages.
• Knowledge of operational readiness, commissioning, handover, concurrent projects, and diverse stakeholder groups is beneficial.
