Senior Procurement Engineer – MEP & Civil

Role overview

Procurement and supplier management

• Review requisitions, BOQs, drawings, and specifications; issue RFQs and evaluate technical and commercial submissions.
• Compare quotations and recommend suppliers based on quality, cost, compliance, and delivery; identify long-lead materials and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate submittals and consultant approvals; issue and monitor purchase orders through delivery and payment coordination.
• Prequalify suppliers and subcontractors, maintain the Approved Vendor List, negotiate commercial terms, and sustain supplier relationships.
• Manage international procurement and Incoterms where applicable; apply Total Cost of Ownership principles to major packages.

Compliance, records, and coordination

• Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications, requirements, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Coordinate material inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, and technical approvals where applicable.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and traceability, including RFQs, comparisons, orders, invoices, warranties, and close-out records.
• Monitor schedules, deliveries, supplier performance, and outstanding orders; resolve procurement delays.
• Submit weekly procurement status reports and coordinate material availability with project teams, logistics, warehouses, consultants, and suppliers.
• Use ERP procurement systems such as Zoho Procurement or similar.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Degree attestation by UAE MOFA and MOHESR recognition or equivalency as required for the position.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience in the UAE construction industry.
• Procurement experience across both MEP and Civil packages for commercial, hospitality, residential, or mixed-use developments.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, and civil construction materials.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, bid analysis, negotiation, and purchase order management.
• Proficiency in ERP procurement systems and ability to interpret drawings, BOQs, and engineering specifications.
• Strong written and verbal English.

Preferred qualifications

• CIPS Level 4 certification or above.
• Experience with LEED, Estidama, or other sustainable construction projects.
• Involvement in large-scale UAE construction projects.

Pay

• AED 2,000–14,000 per month.
