BDGT is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations and reporting.
The role focuses on construction accounting, with real estate project exposure.
Accounting and reporting
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors.
Projects and financial planning
- Monitor project costing, revenue recognition, and expense allocations for construction and real estate projects.
- Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic planning.
- Oversee cash flow and fund allocation across projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and other departments on construction financial tracking.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 5–7 years of construction-industry accounting experience, with exposure to real estate projects.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and revenue recognition.
- Proficiency in Zoho Books or Oracle; advanced MS Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
Additional qualifications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in VAT filing and compliance in the UAE or applicable region.
Pay
- Pay starts at AED 7,000 per month.
