Seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial accounting operations, reporting, and compliance.
The role covers AP, AR, GL, cash flow, VAT, budgeting, and intercompany transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily AP, AR, GL, cash management, and bank transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; handle period-end closings, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and journal entries.
- Monitor cash flow, bank balances, collections, and vendor payments; perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and management reports.
- Maintain intercompany, related-party, and shareholders' ledger records.
- Manage VAT filings and refunds, payroll accounting, employee advances, vendor and customer accounts, and payment schedules.
- Support management and executive account reporting and reconciliations.
- Maintain internal controls and follow company SOPs and approval procedures; coordinate with management and stakeholders.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with UAE authority attestation and equivalency certificate.
- At least 7 years of accounting experience, including 3 years as a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager.
- Strong financial accounting, reporting, general ledger, AP, AR, reconciliation, cash flow, and closing experience.
- Understanding of VAT compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with intercompany transactions and related-party accounts.
- Proficiency in Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle, or a similar accounting or ERP system.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting, accuracy, and organizational skills; able to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate with management.
- ACCA, CA, CMA, or ICMA certification is preferred; internal controls and audit support experience are preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 8,000–11,000 per month.
