Join the Procurement team in Abu Dhabi, supporting building construction projects across UAE operations.
The role focuses on subcontract procurement in a main contracting environment, managing structural, architectural, and MEP packages.
Key responsibilities
- Manage subcontract procurement packages from tender enquiry through award.
- Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scopes of work to establish procurement requirements.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and coordinate technical and commercial clarifications.
- Conduct bid evaluations, prepare comparison sheets, and recommend subcontract awards.
- Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, and commercial conditions with subcontractors.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Contracts, QS, and project teams on compliance and project requirements.
- Identify procurement risks, scope gaps, and commercial deviations in proposals.
- Maintain procurement schedules, tender documentation, and progress reports.
Key qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- 5–10 years of procurement experience in building construction.
- Proven subcontract procurement experience, particularly structural, architectural, and MEP packages.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, subcontract tendering, RFQs, bid evaluation, negotiation, and awards.
- Familiarity with the UAE subcontractor and specialist supplier market.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills; good written and spoken English; Microsoft Office and advanced Excel proficiency.
- UAE main contractor experience is strongly preferred; SAP, iTWO, or equivalent ERP experience is an advantage.
- Hands-on subcontract procurement experience is sought rather than a focus on material purchasing or general buying.
