About the Company

The company is a diversified group of subsidiary companies operating across Saudi Arabia.

It delivers comprehensive solutions across multiple sectors supported by shared logistics, transportation, and warehousing assets.

The group is transforming supply chain operations to drive synergies, leverage digital technologies, and deliver operational and customer service excellence in alignment with Vision 2030.

Role Summary

The Supply Chain Director is a strategic executive leadership role consolidating and optimizing logistics operations across the group of subsidiary companies.

The role integrates disparate logistics operations spanning separate fleets, warehouses, systems, and processes into a single unified supply chain network covering land and sea transport.

The ideal candidate drives digital and AI-enabled performance while achieving goals through strategic planning and delegation through the line.

Strategic Integration and Network Optimization

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive group-wide supply chain and logistics strategy covering all subsidiary companies.
  • Lead integration of disparate logistics operations into an efficient, scalable, unified supply chain.
  • Drive strategic planning, network design, capacity planning, and contingency/risk management protocols.
  • Ensure seamless nationwide logistics coverage across all regions of Saudi Arabia supporting industrial zones and giga-projects.

Operations and Asset Management

  • Directly manage transportation and warehousing assets on behalf of the group, consolidating shared logistics resources.
  • Oversee a multimodal logistics network covering land and sea freight, inbound, outbound, intercompany, and last-mile movements.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with land and sea carriers, 3PLs, warehouse providers, and logistics partners.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, customs laws, transport directives, safety standards, and Vision 2030 alignment.

Digital Transformation and AI

  • Champion digital transformation through implementation and optimization of ERP, TMS, WMS, telematics, IoT, and automation systems.
  • Apply AI and advanced analytics to route optimization, demand forecasting, predictive maintenance, dynamic pricing, and capacity planning.

Performance Management and Leadership

  • Build, lead, and mentor a robust management team, achieving results through effective delegation through the line.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and govern operations through detailed performance KPIs tracking operational and customer service outcomes.
  • Establish governance, SOPs, and performance review cadences across subsidiary logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with subsidiary leadership, finance, procurement, operations, and commercial teams to drive cost optimization and working capital efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant Master's degree highly preferred.
  • 15+ years of supply chain and logistics experience including at least 5-7 years in a senior executive leadership role managing multi-site, multi-subsidiary operations.
  • Proven experience navigating the logistics and regulatory landscape of Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.
  • Deep expertise in land and sea transport, large-scale warehousing, fleet management, and 3PL vendor management.
  • Demonstrated success integrating disparate subsidiary logistics operations into a centralized, unified supply chain network.
  • Proven ability to achieve strategic results through delegation through the line rather than micro-management.
  • Hands-on leadership experience deploying digital automated systems (ERP, TMS, WMS, IoT, Telematics) and applied AI solutions.
  • Exceptional financial acumen, contract negotiation capabilities, and vendor management skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (mandatory or strongly preferred per source).

Competencies and Skills

  • Strategic planning and network design
  • Complex systems and operations integration
  • Operational and customer service excellence
  • Digital fluency and AI/analytics literacy
  • Financial modeling and cost-to-serve optimization
  • Executive negotiation and vendor management
  • Empowering leadership and effective delegation
  • Change management and subsidiary alignment
  • Cultural awareness and cross-functional collaboration

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based at the Group HQ with frequent travel across all regions of Saudi Arabia and to subsidiary operational sites.
  • Requires a valid Saudi driving license.
  • Requires ability and willingness to conduct on-the-ground visits to warehouses, ports, fleet yards, and key customer locations.
