Role overview

Tender phase

• Document owner project requirements with the customer or customer representative.
• Manage proposal design documents, including major equipment, bid specifications, layouts, load calculations, and electrical or mechanical system diagrams.
• Review major equipment vendor quotations for technical compliance.
• Support estimating, final design documentation, production administration, and sub-consultant proposal review and approval.
• Provide technical narratives, help sales teams qualify customer needs, improve designs, and coordinate optimized product and software selection.

Design phase

• Apply engineering skills, codes, and standards to deliver safe, reliable, economical systems.
• Develop the basis of design, including intent, capacity, conditions, operating sequence, expansion, redundancy, and applicable codes and ordinances.
• Capture site conditions, define technical architecture, and provide technical support and quality control.
• Manage timelines and design approvals; coordinate sub-consultants, facilitate meetings, and support construction teams with constructability reviews and permits.

Production and delivery

• Manage responses to requests for information and provide regular on-site assessments.
• Participate in construction meetings and help resolve design clarifications, changes, corrections, and unforeseen site conditions.
• Support change-order requests and manage as-built drawings using production redlines and site verification.

Qualifications
