Installed Based Service Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Operate as an LV/MV specialist with protection capability; troubleshoot, erect, and maintain MV equipment.
• Troubleshoot, retrofit, erect, maintain, and test LV equipment, including mechanical busbar modifications.
• Support spare-parts, retrofit, and extension-panel offers and assist with contract execution.
• Interface with customers and works teams to clarify technical matters and resolve MV/LV equipment issues.
• Program and troubleshoot protection relays; test and commission MV/LV equipment.
• Execute spare-parts, retrofit, extension-panel, and maintenance contracts and deliver customer-site projects.
• Perform complex installation, maintenance, and repair; identify service-growth opportunities during site visits.
• Transfer knowledge within the Services Field domain and coordinate job handovers.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in installation, mechanical retrofit, testing and commissioning, and maintenance.
• GIS switchgear experience, especially GHA, GMA, and WS, is mandatory.
• Knowledge of LV switchgear, including Okken/Blokset, Masterpact NT/NW, Compact breakers, and Micrologic trip units.
• Experience with SEPAM, MICOM, and VIP protection relays; knowledge of other manufacturers’ relays is a plus.
• Good communication and customer-interfacing skills; able to work flexible hours at onshore/offshore sites.
• Digital experience and ability to fulfill Schneider Electric KPIs.
• Knowledge of Windows, MS Office, test equipment and relay software, and LV specialization software.
• ADDC/DEWA approval is an added advantage.

Product experience

• Schneider Electric product experience includes MCset, Okken, PIX, GenieEvo, GHA, GMA, and WS.
