Senior Operator – Binding

About This Role

JOB OBJECTIVE:

Set-up, adjusting and operating the assigned machine without any supervision. Leading the team and assigning tasks to his subordinates to deliver the bound material on time and with quality.

Day to Day Operations

Machine operation

• Assign work to assistant for support in operation of machine and fulfill the job
• Check job docket before starting the job against plates handed – over material and quantity received from previous process.
• Run the machine independently and follow the parameter.

Maintain Quality

· Assure timestamp at regular intervals according to quantity

· Approve 1st copy with supervisor and maintain throughout run

Reduce/mark the waste

· Control waste and maintain productivity

· Assure movement of finished stock to the holding area

Machine upkeep

• Involve in machine and shop floor cleaning and arranging the work place.

Movement and marking the finished good

• Keep the pallets at required and designated place & label them.

Report machine problem

• Report process, equipment or quality problems to the printing supervisor in order to maintain productivity and to avoid production disruptions
• Prepares and submit daily production report to the supervisor on shift basis
• Multi – tasking/ multi -skilling

· Follow the supervisor instruction and do the assign task

· Train other operator to learn the machine and run in absence of Sr. Operator

· Motivate one’s own team and identify opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.

Policies, Processes & Procedures

· Recommend improvements to company policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.

MIS & Reports

· Prepare MIS statements and reports pertaining to departmental needs to meet UPP’s and the departmental requirements, policies, and standards.

Related Assignments

· Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

· High School/ Diploma in printing technology/binding

Minimum Experience:

· 5.7 years in reputable printing environment.
