Senior Operations Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build and strengthen the Dubai operations team and support it day to day.
• Agree global strategy with the Global Head of Operations and deliver it locally.
• Serve as the main operations contact for the regulator and turn local requirements into actions with the General Manager and Compliance.
• Coordinate global delivery, service expectations, handovers, and escalation routes.
• Own regional performance, investigate service gaps, and agree corrective actions with accountable teams.
• Coordinate regional incidents and prepare operations for launches and major changes.
• Manage vendors and service dependencies, and drive improvements including AI and automation.
• Report to regional and global leaders and escalate issues requiring additional authority or resources.

Required qualifications

• At least five years of operations leadership in financial services, fintech, payments, or another regulated environment.
• Experience building and leading operations teams and serving as an operations contact for a regulator.
• Track record delivering through global functions outside the role's direct management.
• Experience with operational KPIs, incident coordination, and launch readiness.
• Clear communication with senior leaders.
• Must be based in Dubai or willing to relocate.

Nice to have

• Experience in brokerage, trading platforms, or digital banking.
• Knowledge of the UAE regulatory environment.
• Hands-on experience introducing AI or automation into operations.
