Role overview
Senior Material Engineer position for a large-scale high-rise tower project in Dubai.
Responsible for material submittals, testing coordination, approved-material controls, quality control, and project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare material submittals and secure approvals against standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate construction-material scheduling and control at the job site, including consultant and contractor testing.
- Maintain project files, inspection records, daily diaries, reports, and contract documentation.
- Verify material approvals, delivery conformity, and proper storage; identify issues and report proposed solutions to QA/QC.
- Collect and review compliance certificates, MSDS, inspection tags, and other material records.
- Contribute to quality-control reports and procedures; plan onsite testing with QA/QC and construction teams.
- Update the finishing schedule using approved submittals and related RFIs and letters.
- Review subcontractor material submittals against the BOQ and specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
- At least 7 years of relevant work experience.
