Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage PMV operations across multiple high-rise and building construction projects in the UAE.
• Plan equipment requirements and manage construction equipment, heavy machinery, lifting equipment, vehicles, and generators.
• Coordinate equipment availability with project, construction, procurement, finance, and site teams.
• Monitor utilization, productivity, downtime, maintenance performance, operating costs, and budgets.
• Evaluate equipment purchase, hire, transfer, or disposal options and reduce operating, maintenance, fuel, and rental costs.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection records, repairs, replacement plans, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Coordinate equipment mobilization, demobilization, and allocation between projects.
• Manage rental companies, suppliers, workshops, and service providers; negotiate rental rates and service agreements.
• Ensure UAE statutory, safety, inspection, and regulatory compliance and coordinate safe operations with HSE teams.
• Lead PMV staff, establish KPIs, present monthly performance reports, and maintain equipment records.
• Support fleet expansion, acquisition, disposal, asset tracking, and long-term PMV planning.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
• At least 18 years of total relevant experience, including substantial UAE experience.
• Building construction or main contracting company experience is mandatory.
• Proven experience managing large-scale PMV operations and construction equipment fleets.
• Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment, cranes, lifting equipment, generators, vehicles, and related machinery.
• Experience supporting multiple high-rise building construction projects is highly preferred.
• 5–10 years in a senior PMV management or leadership position is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE equipment regulations, inspection requirements, maintenance practices, and safety standards.
• Experience in equipment procurement, rental management, fleet planning, budgeting, and cost control.
• Strong leadership, team management, communication, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and PMV/fleet management systems.
