Project Manager ( Building Contracting Experience)

Role overview

Project delivery and coordination

• Develop and implement project execution plans, construction programs, and procurement schedules.
• Coordinate design, procurement, and subcontractor teams on shop drawings, material approvals, and work permits.
• Monitor site activities for compliance with approved methods, IFC drawings, and quality standards.
• Manage manpower, equipment, and materials to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Prepare progress reports, cost forecasts, and variation proposals for the area manager.
• Review subcontractor work programs, method statements, and payment applications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and authorities to resolve technical and contractual issues.
• Lead risk assessments and mitigation to protect schedule and budget.

Quality, safety, cost, and handover

• Oversee QA/QC inspections, material testing, and commissioning against project specifications.
• Ensure HSE compliance, conduct regular safety inspections, and lead toolbox talks.
• Manage project cash flow, cost-to-complete, and expenses; lead site coordination meetings and resolve project conflicts.
• Prepare handover documentation, manage snag rectification, and support final account closure.
• Drive value engineering and mentor site engineers and junior staff.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 16 to 18 years of building construction experience, including at least 8 years in Dubai.
• Proven delivery of high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
• Strong familiarity with UAE authority approval processes, including Trakhees, DDA, and Dubai Municipality.
