Senior Maintenance Planner

Role overview

Maintenance planning and reliability

• Develop long-, medium-, and short-term maintenance plans for mobile and fixed plant equipment.
• Lead planning for mining equipment, crushing plants, tunnelling machinery, and heavy fleet assets.
• Coordinate daily, weekly, monthly, and rolling forecast plans, shutdown planning, and work schedules with production requirements.
• Use CMMS to schedule work orders, track asset history, and monitor maintenance KPIs.
• Develop equipment criticality rankings and lead RCM, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and asset lifecycle initiatives.
• Analyze failure trends, downtime, and condition data; lead root cause failure analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
• Monitor MTBF, MTTR, availability, maintenance costs, work orders, job plans, equipment history, and component forecasts.

Spares, reporting, and leadership

• Define critical spares strategies and classification using asset criticality and FMEA.
• Set reorder and safety stock levels, manage lead times, and integrate spares with maintenance and shutdown plans.
• Coordinate with procurement on supplier reliability, cost efficiency, and lead-time reduction; monitor usage, accuracy, and obsolescence.
• Track maintenance cost, backlog, and schedule compliance; develop weekly and monthly dashboards and improvement recommendations.
• Lead continuous improvement, enhance CMMS use and digital processes, and mentor planning and administrative teams.

Coordination and documentation

• Coordinate with operations, mine planning, engineering, procurement, and finance to align maintenance with production targets and mine plans.
• Support multi-site operations across the UAE, Oman, and KSA.
• Establish a central system for certifications, calibrations, and OEM technical data; maintain current, controlled, accessible manuals and records.

Requirements

• The role requires capability in maintenance planning and scheduling for mobile and fixed plant equipment across mining, crushing, tunnelling, and heavy fleet operations.
• The role requires knowledge of CMMS use for work orders, asset history, and maintenance KPI monitoring.
• The role requires reliability engineering expertise, including RCM, failure analysis, and corrective action.
• The role requires experience with maintenance performance indicators, downtime and failure data, and condition monitoring inputs.
• The role requires spares planning and inventory management aligned with asset criticality and operational risk.
• The role requires leadership and mentoring of planning and administrative teams.
• The role requires coordination with operations, mine planning, engineering, procurement, and finance teams.
