The role works with Product Owners, architects, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver maintainable technical solutions.
Development and delivery
- Define and implement enterprise application features and enhancements with product, analysis, architecture, and development teams.
- Design, develop, enhance, and support Angular web applications, emphasizing usability, maintainability, performance, and reusable components.
- Integrate Angular applications with REST APIs and Java/Spring Boot services.
- Participate in front-end and back-end architecture and technical design.
- Develop scalable back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, JPA, and REST APIs.
- Develop and enhance applications in GCP environments and support modernization and migration of enterprise applications to GCP.
- Apply cloud-native and microservices design patterns where appropriate.
- Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, estimation, and daily development.
- Conduct peer code reviews and support adherence to architecture, coding, security, and user-story standards.
- Develop unit tests and support integration and regression testing.
- Troubleshoot issues across UI, API, application, database, batch, and cloud infrastructure layers; optimize performance.
- Contribute to CI/CD automation and cloud deployment processes; work with distributed teams and provide technical guidance as needed.
Required qualifications
- At least 8 years of full-stack application development using Java/Spring and modern web technologies.
- Experience with GCP and deploying or supporting enterprise applications in GCP environments.
- Hands-on enterprise development with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Knowledge of Angular architecture, components, services, routing, forms, dependency injection, RxJS, state/data handling, and REST API integration.
- Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Batch, JPA/Hibernate, RESTful web services, and JSON.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and understanding GCP compute/GKE, networking, IAM, Cloud Storage, logging/monitoring, databases, and deployment services.
- Application modernization and migration to GCP experience is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of cloud-native architecture, containerization, Kubernetes, microservices, scalability, resiliency, and distributed-system design patterns.
- At least 8 years of Oracle Database and SQL development and performance-analysis experience.
- Experience developing and supporting large-scale batch-processing applications.
- Code analysis and troubleshooting skills, including identifying root causes in large and complex codebases.
