Senior HSSE Manager leading health, safety, security, and environmental activities across a large-scale substructure construction site.
Leadership role accountable for achieving zero harm across a high-complexity, multi-zone project.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the Project HSSE Management Plan, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Drive a Zero Harm and behavioural safety culture across site activities.
- Oversee Permit to Work processes for high-risk operations.
- Lead incident investigations using ICAM and TapRooT methodologies.
- Manage heat stress, environmental, and security programs.
- Review and approve subcontractor HSSE plans and method statements.
- Manage, mentor, and develop HSE Officers and environmental staff.
- Ensure compliance with UAE OSHAD/ADDED regulations and DAEP requirements.
- Represent the company in client meetings, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Prepare and present monthly HSSE performance reports to senior management.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- NEBOSH International Diploma is mandatory.
- ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
- 18 or more years of HSSE experience, including 7–10 years in a Senior HSSE Manager role.
- Experience on airport, mega-infrastructure, or major civil projects.
- Knowledge of UAE OSHAD/ADDED regulations and GCC HSE standards.
- Experience managing multicultural workforces of 1,500 or more workers.
- Track record of zero-LTI project delivery.
- Experience with Chinese international contractors is advantageous.
- Strong leadership and communication skills in English.
Pay
- Pay is AED 30,000–34,000 per month.
