SENIOR FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (PROJECTS)

About This Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Controller to oversee and manage financial operations for major Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects and business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, cost control, and ensuring effective financial management in line with corporate and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all financial and accounting operations.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor project and operational costs to ensure effective financial control.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
• Support senior management with financial analysis and strategic decision-making.
• Manage cash flow, financial planning, and risk management activities.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Develop and implement financial controls, procedures, and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to monitor financial performance and project profitability.
• Lead and mentor finance and accounting staff.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience as a Finance Controller or similar role within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Minimum 5 years of GCC experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, budgeting, and reporting.
• Experience supporting large-scale industrial or EPC projects is highly desirable.

• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost control experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Experience working with international Oil & Gas companies or EPC contractors.
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic financial planning skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and fast-paced environments.
