Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications and requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Price materials, labor, equipment and subcontracts for tenders and bids.
- Work with project teams to understand scope and timelines.
- Assist with technical and commercial tender submissions.
- Update estimates using current market rates and project demands.
- Obtain competitive supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Track project costs against estimated budgets.
- Work with procurement to identify cost savings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Proven cost-estimation experience for civil and fitout projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and market pricing.
- Proficiency in estimation software such as AutoCAD, MS Excel and specialized cost estimation tools.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines across multiple projects.
