Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer responsible for design review and coordination on an LSTK steam power plant gas conversion project.
Responsibilities
- Prepare specifications, coordinate design reviews, manage design work with contractors and consultants, and coordinate internally with other disciplines.
- Review instrumentation and control EPC documents, including master document lists, design criteria, P&IDs, layouts, calculations, studies, and manuals.
- Review CFD modeling, HAZOP/HAZID/SIL studies, risk assessments, and mitigation measures.
- Attend factory acceptance testing when required and review FAT procedures and reports; review construction, commissioning, reliability, and performance testing procedures and reports.
- Review construction and installation method statements, vendor design and procurement documents, design and field changes, IFC/AFC/AFI drawings, red markups, and as-built drawings.
- Evaluate claims and change orders and cover base and detailed engineering design review and close-out activities.
Experience and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering approved by the Saudi Council of Engineers.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in large thermal power projects.
- Experience in instrumentation and control engineering design and EPC document review.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant international standards and proficiency in relevant design software.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with MIS; good English communication skills and leadership qualities.
