Role Overview
Tractebel is Owner's Engineer for the Al Khushaybi 500 MW BESS IPP (2,000 MWh) in Al Qassim Region, Saudi Arabia.

Project Context
Tractebel is Owner's Engineer for the Al Khushaybi 500 MW BESS IPP (2,000 MWh) in Al Qassim Region, Saudi Arabia.
Tractebel provides independent technical oversight including design review, engineering management, construction supervision, testing and commissioning support, and compliance verification.
The role supports delivery of a flagship utility-scale energy storage project and integration of renewable energy into the Kingdom's power system.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and surveillance activities in accordance with approved ITPs.
- Attend and document Hold & Witness points.
- Conduct daily and spot quality inspections on site works.
- Raise observations and NCRs where non-conformities are identified.
- Verify corrective actions before closure.
- Ensure inspection records are uploaded and traceable in Procore.
- Report findings to the Site Quality Manager.
Education and Experience
- Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Good to have: Substation & BESS related experience in KSA.
- Minimum 6 years of experience.
- Must have utility-scale BESS experience.
- Substation & utility-scale BESS experience in KSA is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certification related to the role or discipline.
- Professional membership or accreditation where applicable.
- Software/system/tool certification relevant to the role.
- Experience with BESS projects is preferable.
Languages
- English required.
- Arabic required.
