The Senior Coordinator supports the Transport & Distribution Department.
The role gathers and prepares data, advises on business information and decision-making needs, and manages data outputs such as reports and presentations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with shipping companies to help ensure timely, intact deliveries and manage the flow of goods through distribution centers or warehouses.
- Maintain inventory records, identify overstock or shortages, and review orders for correct fulfillment and complete information.
- Plan vehicle routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines and coordinate deliveries with suppliers and vendors.
- Develop storage and transport methods that reduce costs or improve efficiency; review shipping costs to identify cost-effective transport options.
- Provide logistical support to other departments for events such as trade shows.
- Gather, cleanse, sort, and aggregate data, then prepare reports and presentations to inform business decisions.
Qualifications and experience
- Recognized degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related Data Management field; an MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of three years in supply chain and logistics operations is preferred.
- Listed systems and tools include MS Office, supply chain and logistics systems, data management or data science, Power BI, database languages, and Access Database.
