The role manages contractual obligations and advises project teams, clients, legal advisers, and stakeholders on contract matters and claims.
The work covers contract administration, EOT claims, delay analysis, variations, and pre-contract advice.
Responsibilities
- Advise on contractual matters and manage correspondence under prime contract terms, specifications, and drawings, including construction change orders.
- Manage contractual commitments and work performance according to client instructions and contract terms.
- Assist with EOT claims, review contract documents and schedules, verify dates, and identify delay events and priorities.
- Assess delays, determine causes with project teams, quantify schedule and cost impacts, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare reports and supporting documentation for claims and dispute resolution, and provide expert opinions in proceedings or negotiations.
- Advise on procurement and contracting strategy; manage variations and change orders and prepare related estimates and claims.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of relevant experience managing contractual commitments.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Laws, or a related field.
- MRICS chartered membership is mandatory.
- MEP experience in contract administration, claims, variations, EOT, and delay analysis.
