Role overview

Monitoring and remediation

• Develop, maintain, and execute technology monitoring and compliance tests aligned with regulations, internal processes, external standards, and industry requirements.
• Conduct structured, consistent, risk-based monitoring; identify findings, implications, and remediation considerations while maintaining independent judgement.
• Set expectations for Technology teams to develop and own remediation plans, and track issues through resolution.

Reporting and programme improvement

• Consolidate monitoring results and thematic findings, maintain evidence-based conclusions, and escalate material issues or systemic control weaknesses.
• Analyze findings to assess control effectiveness and inform risk assessments and ratings; lead the annual refresh of the programme’s technology component.
• Track developments across technology, regulation, iGaming, and lottery and incorporate relevant changes and emerging risks into monitoring coverage.
• Evaluate automation, AI, and data analytics for potential improvements to monitoring, assurance, risk identification, and management information.

Culture and stakeholder collaboration

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders while preserving the independence of Compliance Monitoring.
• Promote regulatory awareness, control ownership, accountability, transparency, and ethical conduct, including support for compliance monitoring system implementation.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 7 years of compliance monitoring, control self-assessment, or audit experience in gaming or another highly regulated sector.
• Strong knowledge of gambling regulatory frameworks, technology systems, and the software development lifecycle.
• Testing laboratory experience and/or experience in jurisdictions requiring regulatory approval for gambling technology is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders; excellent written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• A relevant qualification or certification in technology audit, compliance, information systems, risk, or governance, such as CISA or CRISC, is desirable.
