Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer - Azure Applications

Job purpose

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain development, UAT, and production environments for web applications, APIs, CMS, and supporting services.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Next.js, React, Node.js, .NET, and Strapi applications; maintain repeatable, version-controlled infrastructure.
• Implement deployment checks, approval controls, rollback procedures, and release traceability.
• Establish health checks, logs, dashboards, and actionable alerts; investigate production incidents.
• Configure application identities, access controls, certificates, and secrets management with security owners.
• Assess scaling, resource utilization, and availability; monitor cloud expenditure and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate application and database backup requirements with Technical Support and validate restoration and recovery procedures.
• Maintain environment inventories, deployment guides, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least five years of cloud/DevOps engineering experience, including at least three years operating production applications on Azure.
• Strong experience with App Service, Functions, Storage/Blob, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights; API Management and Service Bus are preferred.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions, including secure deployment and rollback.
• Practical infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or Bicep.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Node.js, Next.js, .NET, and headless CMS applications.
• Practical Docker experience; Kubernetes is preferred where relevant.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for operational automation.
• Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, RBAC, DNS, TLS, private endpoints, and application connectivity.
• Experience supporting SQL Server and PostgreSQL deployment and connectivity, including backup and recovery coordination.
• Demonstrated incident diagnosis, root-cause analysis, monitoring, and recovery-testing experience.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator or DevOps Engineer certification is preferred.
