Job Description
Act as the consultant’s representative overseeing construction and delivery of water transmission pipeline works.
Monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards, coordinate stakeholders, and support delivery within schedule and budget.
Responsibilities
- Supervise construction of water transmission pipelines and associated civil infrastructure.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
- Review and comment on shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical proposals.
- Monitor contractor progress, quality, and HSE compliance.
- Conduct site inspections and witness testing and commissioning.
- Identify and resolve construction technical issues.
- Coordinate with the client, contractor, authorities, and project stakeholders.
- Review contractor progress reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
- Assist in evaluating variations, claims, and contractual matters.
- Prepare periodic progress, quality, and technical reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- At least 10 years of civil engineering experience, including 5 years or more on water transmission pipeline or water infrastructure projects.
- Previous construction supervision and consultancy experience.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline construction, earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, and utility coordination.
- Familiarity with international water infrastructure standards and industry best practices.
- Experience reviewing technical submittals, QA/QC procedures, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- GCC/Middle East experience is preferred.
