The role

Category ownership

• Develop and execute category buying strategy and own assortment planning, including range architecture, price tiers and offer depth and breadth.
• Manage international suppliers and negotiate pricing, costs and commercial terms.
• Monitor product development, fittings and quality through bulk approval with design and technical teams.
• Forecast demand and manage in-season inventory, orders and reorders to protect sell-through and margin.
• Track sales and KPIs by style, vendor and market; coordinate with design, merchandising, marketing, supply chain, retail and e-commerce.

What the employer is looking for

• At least 5 years as a Buyer in apparel or fashion retail; the posting says Merchandiser experience alone is not sufficient.
• Full ownership of assortment, budget and supplier relationships, and experience at company headquarters.
• International supplier negotiation experience across markets such as Europe, Asia or Turkey.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with sales, margin and KPI analysis using Excel and PLM.
• Fluent English at C1 level; Russian or Spanish is an advantage.
• Recognized fast-fashion or donor brand experience is ideal, and candidates must be willing to relocate to Dubai and travel internationally.

First-year success

• Deliver a commercially successful, balanced collection with category sell-through and margin in line with plan.
• Build a reliable supplier base with improving cost, quality and delivery performance.
• Keep product development on schedule through bulk approval and forecast accurately to minimize stockouts and excess stock.
