Prepare accurate BOQs and cost estimates based on approved designs and project requirements.
Support cost optimization and ensure alignment with Americana standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed BOQs from Architectural, Interior Design, and MEP drawings.
- Prepare cost estimates for new stores, remodels, and other projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and requirements for BOQ accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with Design, Construction, and Real Estate teams to clarify scope.
- Validate pricing with vendors and suppliers when required.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and support cost optimization.
- Support cost evaluation and BOQ requirements for special and ad hoc projects.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, specifications, and local requirements.
- Maintain cost data, support benchmarking, and deliver multiple BOQ requirements on time.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- 6–8 years of experience in quantity surveying, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation.
- Retail, F&B, hospitality, or commercial project experience is an advantage.
- Experience preparing BOQs from Architectural and Interior Design drawings.
Knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of Civil, Interior Design, and MEP works and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret Architectural, ID, and MEP drawings.
- Experience in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and value engineering.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD; proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Knowledge of local authority requirements and specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
