SENIOR BARISTA

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based and specialty coffee beverages.
• Ensure consistency in coffee preparation, recipes, presentation, and taste.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
• Monitor bar workflow to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Monitor coffee, milk, and consumable stock levels and report shortages.
• Handle customer requests and provide professional, knowledgeable service.
• Support the Café Manager or Supervisor with daily operational requirements.
• Contribute ideas for beverages, menu improvements, promotions, presentation, workflow, and customer experience.
• Identify operational issues and proactively suggest practical solutions.
• Participate in product development, coffee tasting, and staff training when required.
• Take initiative to improve the café environment and guest experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional barista experience.
• Knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, latte art, and coffee brewing methods.
• Knowledge of coffee equipment and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to train and support other baristas.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced café environment.
• Specialty coffee experience is a bonus.
• Manual brewing, coffee tasting, cupping, or specialty coffee experience is an advantage.
• UAE café or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Pay

• Pay range is AED 2,191.13 to AED 4,412.72 per month.
