Drive data-informed decisions and optimize merchandising strategies across multiple categories.
Use analytics to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize assortment, pricing, and promotions to support profitability and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop category strategies for assortment, pricing, and promotions to maximize profitability and achieve sales targets.
- Monitor KPIs across categories, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions based on root-cause analysis.
- Create reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
- Lead analytics projects, including analytical models and integration of new data sources.
- Work with merchandising, sales, and other cross-functional teams to support decisions and outcomes.
- Track industry trends and best practices in analytics and category management.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry associations.
Skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
- Strong organization and time management, including prioritizing work and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
- Strong customer-service orientation and professional stakeholder interactions.
- Deep understanding of foodservice, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape.
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 5 years of experience.
Travel
- Travel requirement is 25%–50%.
