Outbound Warehouse Supervisor

Role responsibilities

• Support warehouse colleagues with Motorola RF scanners, Zebra printers, tablets, and CANVAS.
• Coach and train colleagues, conduct material handling training, and support productivity goals.
• Complete safety inspections, coach cards, observations, and facility audits; ensure compliance with company and industry safety requirements.
• Prepare work and vacation schedules, and distribute and analyze the incentive program with team members.
• Manage selection, replenishment, assembly, and loading of products; monitor productivity and analyze productivity reports.
• Identify barriers causing indirect time and record work delays in SWMS.
• Assist with the annual warehouse budget, monitor it weekly, and implement cost-reduction action plans.
• Maintain accurate timecards, approve them, and schedule direct reports.
• Where applicable, interpret the collective bargaining agreement and participate in grievance, mediation, and arbitration procedures.
• Comply with food safety, quality, and legality policies; champion environmental health and safety and an inclusive culture.

Qualifications and requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a logistics or warehouse role.
• High school diploma required.
• Preferred: 5 years' logistics or warehouse experience and warehouse supervisory experience.
• Preferred: diploma or degree in Logistics and/or Operations.
• Knowledge of SWMS, Workday, Synetellic, CANVAS, Intelex, or a labour standard system is an asset.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Systems and tools

• Warehouse systems and tools include Motorola RF scanners, Zebra printers, tablets, and CANVAS.
• Systems knowledge considered an asset includes SWMS, Workday, Synetellic, CANVAS, Intelex, and labour standard systems.
