Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month/year-end closing.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable and ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Prepare cash-flow reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS, and company financial policies.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and support Corporate Tax requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required documentation.
- Review bank reconciliations, supplier and customer accounts, accruals, provisions, and fixed assets.
- Monitor project costs, expenses, revenue recognition, and profitability.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation in SAP.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making reports.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS.
- Experience with month/year-end closing and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ERP and Microsoft Excel.
- Construction, engineering, elevator/escalator, or project-based company experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
