Role overview

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of accounting experience in the UAE, including at least five years in construction or contracting.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and IFRS.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, and ERP systems.
• CPA, CMA, or ACCA certifications are highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and project cost reports accurately and on time.
• Oversee project-based accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide documentation for annual audits.
• Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and project fund allocations.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and site teams to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies in line with IFRS standards.
• Analyze financial performance and recommend cost-control and profit-optimization measures.
• Support the Finance Manager or CFO with strategic planning and financial decision-making.
