Role overview
Seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial and contractual expertise in construction.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience with a piling, foundation or specialist geotechnical contractor.
- Strong contract administration and commercial management capability.
- Previous UAE experience is essential.
- Strong written contractual and commercial communication skills.
- Ability to identify, substantiate and pursue contractual entitlement.
Responsibilities
- Handle marine, piling and deep foundation works, including shoring and retaining systems.
- Handle soil improvement and geotechnical works.
- Perform BOQ measurement and remeasurement; manage variations and change management.
- Handle claims and contractual notices; prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
- Manage subcontractor commercial activities.
- Administer FIDIC or similar forms of contract.
- Handle UAE consultant and client commercial procedures.
