QA/QC Manager

Role overview

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10–15 years of construction experience, including substantial piling, deep-foundation, and geotechnical works experience.
• Proven QA/QC leadership in a foundation contracting or specialist geotechnical contractor environment.
• Knowledge of piling, grouting, diaphragm walls, shoring, soil improvement, and associated testing.
• Understanding of concrete technology, foundation testing, inspection processes, and quality documentation.
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and quality auditing.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and report-writing skills; practical, proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Key responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC for piling, shoring, soil-improvement, and geotechnical construction projects and ensure contract and standards compliance.
• Maintain and improve the ISO-certified Quality Management System.
• Develop and implement ITPs, quality procedures, method statements, and records.
• Monitor site quality through inspections, audits, testing, and corrective actions.
• Manage concrete quality control, piling records, integrity and load testing, and foundation quality documentation.
• Coordinate quality matters with clients, consultants, project teams, and third-party testing agencies.
• Analyze quality trends and improve processes and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop QA/QC engineers and inspectors; support project quality objectives and schedules.
• Share lessons learned and best practices across projects.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with major consultants, developers, and UAE/GCC infrastructure projects is preferred.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering institution is desirable.
• Experience managing QA/QC teams across multiple projects and locations is a preferred attribute.
