Full-time role requiring 6–7 years of experience; the posting specifies in-person work.

Branch accounting and receivables

  • Manage and consolidate branch accounting operations with uniform policies, chart of accounts, and reporting standards; reconcile inter-branch stock transfers and balances.
  • Ensure correct branch-wise profit and loss reporting; review branch ledgers, cash sales, and daily collections for accurate, timely posting.

  • Track post-dated cheques, clearances, and returned cheques, coordinating recovery with Sales.

Payables, inventory, and treasury

  • Verify supplier invoices against LPOs and GRNs, process payments, reconcile vendor statements, maintain supplier records, and plan payments against cash flow and credit terms.
  • Maintain inventory valuation across branches and warehouses; support stock counts and reconciliations; monitor material costs, import landed costs, margins, and obsolete stock.
  • Reconcile branch bank accounts and support trade-finance documents for LCs, TTs, and bank guarantees.
  • Track cash positions, forecast cash flow, and support working-capital management across branches.

Reporting, compliance, and coordination

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial statements; post and review accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions during month- and year-end closing.
  • Prepare MIS reports, branch performance summaries, financial models, budgets, cost-control reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure UAE VAT computation, reconciliation, and timely FTA return filing; support Corporate Tax computation and documentation.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and provide schedules and supporting records; liaise with branch managers, procurement, warehouse, logistics, and Sales.
  • Guide and review junior accountants and accounts assistants where applicable.

Qualifications and experience

  • Master of Commerce (M.Com) or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance; 6–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Building-materials, construction-supplies, or UAE trading-industry experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience handling accounts across multiple branches under one legal entity; exposure to credit-based trading, high-volume invoicing, and inventory-driven accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of receivables, payables, inventory accounting, bank reconciliation, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, statutory compliance, IFRS, and period closing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, branch-account management, and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and coordination across departments; integrity and confidentiality when handling financial data.
