Role overview

Experience and qualifications

• Mandatory: 1–3 years of UAE accounting experience in the interior joinery and fit-out industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and basic financial reporting.
• Basic understanding of UAE VAT regulations.
• Exposure to project costing, progress billing, or retention accounting in contracting or fit-out is listed.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or similar is advantageous.

Skills and competencies

• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Experience with Tally, Zoho Books, Odoo, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, organization, teamwork, communication, and ability to meet deadlines.
• English communication skills are requested; additional languages are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and maintaining books of accounts.
• Track project costs against budgets; prepare progress billing, payment applications, and retention records.
• Record supplier, subcontractor, and materials invoices and match them with purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Post journal entries, accruals, and prepayments; assist with bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
• Follow up on receivables and payments; support monthly close and prepare supporting schedules.
• Support UAE VAT return preparation and maintain compliant invoices and records.
• Maintain inventory and fixed asset registers, including workshop machinery.
• Provide audit documents; support payroll data preparation, allocation of labor and site staff costs to projects, and financial filing.
• Perform other accounting duties assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager.

Compensation

• Description states AED 3,000–4,000 per month in the position details and AED 3,000–5,000 per month in the pay line.
• Structured salary field states AED 3,000–4,000 per month.
