Accountant role supporting a Dubai-based group with trading, manufacturing, contracting, and building materials operations across branches and project sites.
Location and work arrangement
- The role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is in person.
Pay and employment
- Full-time position paying AED 5,000–8,000 per month.
Requirements
- Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; CMA, ACCA, or CPA is an advantage.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
- Experience in trading, manufacturing, contracting, or building materials.
- Working knowledge of inventory and cost accounting.
- Experience handling accounts for multiple branches or projects is preferred.
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS.
- Hands-on experience with Tally, SAP, or a similar ERP system.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
- Good attention to detail and communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Immediate availability to join.
What You Will Do
- Maintain accurate books of accounts for trading, manufacturing, and contracting operations.
- Prepare branch-wise and project-wise profit and loss reports.
- Handle customer invoicing, collections follow-up, and ageing reports.
- Prepare and track progress billing, retention, and project-wise receivables.
- Track post-dated cheques and returned cheques.
- Match supplier and subcontractor invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes, and process vendor payments.
- Maintain cost records for manufactured goods and projects, including raw material, production, and job costing.
- Reconcile bank accounts, inter-branch balances, supplier statements, and inventory records.
- Calculate landed cost on imported materials.
- Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements.
- Prepare and file VAT returns, and support Corporate Tax and audit requirements.
- Prepare MIS reports and variance analysis in Excel; guide junior accounts staff where required.
