Manage day-to-day accounting operations, accurate financial reporting, compliance, and support for financial planning and decision-making.
The role requires technical accounting knowledge and the ability to manage financial records, closing, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
Accounting and reporting
- Manage general ledger accounts and accurately record financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, trial balances, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing; review reports and investigate significant variances.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer and vendor reconciliations, collections, and payments.
- Verify invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents; reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts.
- Perform bank, intercompany, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and fixed asset schedules; maintain records and resolve discrepancies.
Compliance, planning, and audit
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements; assist with VAT returns and other tax declarations.
- Support UAE Corporate Tax and VAT requirements where applicable, and maintain documents for tax audits and regulatory reviews.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections; analyze performance against budgets and explain variances.
- Prepare management reports and financial analyses; identify improvements to cost control and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with auditors, prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation, and ensure internal financial controls and approval procedures are followed.
- Review junior accountants' work and provide technical guidance; coordinate accounting matters with other departments.
Language requirement
- Arabic or Tagalog is required.
