Accounting and close
- Record journals, accruals, deferrals, and other transactions in the general ledger; maintain complete and accurate accounting records.
- Reconcile bank, prepaid expense, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices; assist with approved supplier payments; issue customer invoices, monitor payments, and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Lead or assist with month-end close, prepare monthly management accounts and financial summaries, and support year-end close and external audits.
Reporting and planning
- Prepare profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements for internal reporting.
- Analyze performance, budget and forecast variances, cost trends, and profitability; explain results and provide commentary to management.
- Assist with annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and cash flow projections; monitor actuals and recommend corrective actions.
Compliance, controls, and cash
- Support VAT or other relevant tax preparation and submission, statutory reporting, and compliance with local tax regulations.
- Maintain accounting policies and internal controls; coordinate with external auditors and provide schedules and documentation.
- Monitor cash flows, reconcile bank accounts, help optimize liquidity, and facilitate intercompany transactions or internal billing if applicable.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation and amortization with appropriate accounting treatment.
Projects and collaboration
- Support financial projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and financial modeling.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and other departments to provide financial guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Two to five years of relevant accounting experience; the posting also lists one year of accounting experience as required.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or a local ERP, and Excel.
- Knowledge of IFRS or GAAP accounting standards and local taxation such as VAT.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy, communication, and ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
- ACCA, CPA, or CMA certification is a plus.

Pay
- Pay is AED 2,000–4,000 per month.
