Role overview

Accounting and client responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations across multiple client portfolios.
• Review and finalize junior team members' financial records before client delivery.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, and financial summaries.
• Oversee invoicing, receipt tracking, payment follow-ups, and accounts receivable processes.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets, and transactions; flag risks and ensure proper documentation.
• Lead UAE VAT preparation, filing, and related documentation for compliance and timely submission.
• Ensure records and processes comply with UAE regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Act as primary client contact for accounting, reporting, and reconciliation queries; coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.
• Guide and review payroll coordination, petty cash, and reimbursements.
• Review records to identify discrepancies and drive corrective action; maintain documentation and digital records.
• Mentor junior accountants, monitor regulatory developments, and provide financial insights and recommendations.

Required qualifications and experience

• Have at least five years of relevant UAE accounting experience, including client-facing or consultancy exposure.
• Have proven experience independently managing multiple client accounts or portfolios.
• Have strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
• Have hands-on understanding of UAE VAT and taxation requirements, IFRS, and UAE accounting practices.
• Be proficient in Zoho Books or other accounting software.
• Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Be able to manage multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred credentials and experience

• ACCA, CA, or CMA qualification is preferred; strong part-qualified candidates with relevant experience are considered.
• Experience reviewing or guiding junior accounting staff is a strong plus.
