Security duties
- Provide visible deterrence and carry out guarding responsibilities in store.
- Perform access control, gatehouse, and reception duties; assist visitors, identify threats, and escalate appropriately.
- Conduct colleague and contractor searches when required under client policy and patrol internal and external areas.
- Work with the client to identify risk and review CCTV recordings for stock-loss investigations.
- Liaise with management and local authorities; plan daily activities and report incidents using tablets or phones.
- Prepare detailed, legible incident reports and follow company policies, including health and safety and equal opportunities.
Candidate requirements
- A current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence is mandatory.
- Confident communication skills are needed to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity.
- Be welcoming and patient with customers and able to handle conflict professionally.
- Previous retail security experience is advantageous but not essential; full training is provided.
- Applicants must provide a full five-year checkable work or school history.
Hours and shifts
- The role is full time and permanent, with 48 hours listed.
- Shift patterns include four on/four off day and night shifts, or four on/four off night shifts.
Pay
- Hourly rate is £13.00.
Work location
- The role requires guarding duties in a retail store in Liverpool.
