Responsibilities
- Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
- Assess vulnerabilities and take proactive steps to minimise risk.
- Respond to incidents and liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
- Manage vulnerable persons empathetically and conduct colleague and contractor searches when required under customer policy.
- Use tablets or phones for daily activity planning and digital incident reports.
- Complete detailed, legible incident reports for the client and local authorities.
Requirements
- A current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence is required.
- Confident verbal and written communication is needed to provide detailed accounts of criminal activity.
- Applicants should be welcoming and patient with customers and able to handle conflict professionally.
- Previous retail security experience is advantageous but not essential; full training will be given.
- Applicants must provide a full five-year checkable work or education history.
Hours and shifts
- The schedule totals 42 hours: Tuesday to Friday, 12:00–20:00, and Saturday, 10:00–20:00.
